Set up the infrared Camera so it is focused on the Incandescent Lamp. Plug the lamp into the Variac. Starting at zero, slowly increase the voltage applied to the lamp until an emission is seen from the Camera. This demo can be combined with gratings to show how visible light appears as the voltage on the lamp is increased.
