Description:

1. Connect as shown. 2. Level Holder by rotating set screw. 3. Clean brass rod using fine sandpaper. 4. Adjust 6 V power supply to a maximum of 10 A. Method: 1. Turn on the power supply and observe the direction the brass rod rolls. 2. Reverse the polarity of the power supply lead. 3. Repeat Part 1. 4. Observe same effect by reversing the polarity of the magnet. 5. Turn off power supply to avoid high current.
