Description:

This is an older setup. Refer to demonstration# 207 instead.

1. Connect as shown in diagram 
2. Place fine grade machine oil in pad on rotor shaft 
3. Start motor at slow speed 
4. Observe a single mode of vibration 
5. increase the motor speed. 
6. Observe second mode of vibration 
7. Transition between 2nd and 4th mode is sometimes abrupt, so in order to obtain the 3rd mode decrease the motor speed lightly 
8. Maximum of 4 modes of vibration
