Description:

Set up the propane torch and secure with a clamp & retort stand as shown in the photo.

  1. Fill a large (250ml) graduated cylinder with cold water.
  2. Open the gas valve
  3. Light the torch with the flint lighter and adjust the flame size.
  4. Heat the bimetallic strip by running the length of the strip along the flame.
  5. Observe and cool the strip by immersing it in water.
