Setup: 1. Connect as shown 2. Adjust signal generator so that one square wave is displayed. 3. Set resistance at mid-point 4. Adjust time base and gain control to obtain 4-6 oscillations on CRO/Oscilloscope display Method: 1. Turn up brilliance control 2. Adjust variable resistance on board to obtain 3 waveforms a. Resistance <1 Ohm produces under damped oscillation b. Resistance aprox. 1 Ohm critically damped oscillation c. Resistance > 1 Ohm produces over damped oscillation
