White Light Diffraction (Transmission Grating)
Description:
| 1. Use large lecture room trolley for set up. 2. Focus 1/16 inch slit onto side screen. (Metal slits - fine 600 g/mm, medium 300 g/mm) 3. Place diffraction grating in front of lens. Method: 1. Turn on projector. 2. Place fine diffraction grating in front of slit. 3. Observe colored bands on either side. 4. Replace with coarse grating. 5. Bands are closer together. |
