Fourier Synthesizer (Pasco)
Used in the following activities:
This is a signal generator that gives two 440 Hz fundamental outputs and the first 8 harmonics of the fundamental. Each harmonic has variable phase and amplitude, and has a frequency accurate to better than 0.1%.
- Select the frequencies desired with the IN/OUT switches
- Select the wave shapes of the fundamental with the appropriate switches
- The usual output is labelled "10K OUTPUT". Be sure to keep the ground terminals the same in all components.
- Adjust the amplitude and phase for each frequency with the appropriate switches and knobs in each column.
- The TRIGGER OUTPUT is intended for an oscilliscope trigger, if desired.
- Turn the unit ON
- An 8ohm output is available for connections with speakers.
NOTE: Push the RESET button each time before taking measurements.
