Description:

Shows driven oscillation. 1) Connect variable crank control to motor. 2) Hook the spring onto the end of the string from the motor. 3) Align string onto the pulleys. 4) Fill large beaker up to water mark. 5) Place weight in beaker, align weight and beaker. 6) Adjust height of ball by moving motor. 7) Turn motor on at low speed, increase speed slowly. 8) Observe changes in amplitude as the spring/mass system goes through resonance. (Older demo uses also a shaft, rubber disc, and elastic. See diagram below for setup)
