Description:
Connect desired pieces, avoid bending metal spine - keep it taut when lifting. Use light with reflector mounted on a 36"" stand in front of wave machine to illuminate green dots.
1. To send a half wave - move end rod up and down about 1/2 inch 2. To send a full wave - move end rod up, down and back to middle 3. To show (a) constructive (b) destructive interference - hold the rods at each end and move them both up together for (a) part; move one end up and the other end down for (b) part 4. Observe the movement of the middle rod 5. To obtain standing waves use motor and variable speed control box (see diagram) 6. To show impedance matching use tapered rods 7. Terminations include; dash pot filled with water, clipped on weight
